I was already trying to catch up when I had to attend my granddad’s funeral in October, and then afterwards my tablet broke down, then it was followed up with a worse episode of depression, even for me, and now .. I’m dealing with kidney stones and can hardly think beyond the pain, let alone sit up, much less work…
I don’t make a large paycheck, and I’d already been trying to catch up for lost money in the first place. And .. I’m at the point where I might have to own up that I can’t spring back fast enough to work and make ends meet.

She broke her arm and injured her shoulder in an accident and she’s currently in-between insurance plans. There is potential surgery on the horizon. If you can spare anything to help with medical costs, it would be SO appreciated. She’s such an amazing person and this is a significant physical and financial setback for her. Friday, October 19th – Hi everyone, I’m Gemma and I’m so sorry to ask this again so soon, but is anyone able to send me a few £’s to help me pay my overdue rent, as I desperately need help to pay it and avoid eviction.
As many of you may know, I’ve been struggling these past few months, literally since the new year in January, because I’ve had my welfare benefits (Universal Credit and Housing Benefit) revoked under the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned and due to my mental illnesses, my benefits have been on and off sanctions ever since.
The above letters are from my local housing association stating that my Housing Benefit is still under a suspension, despite my unemployment advisor assuring me that it would be reinstated for this month (October’s) rent. As you can see from the rent statement above my rent due is £384.79 and since receiving this letter a few days ago, I have been trying to arrange some sort of extension or payment – leeway with them as they know that I am waiting for my U.C/Housing benefits to be fully reinstated. An extension on paying this has been declined and I am struggling to find an alternative to paying this balance which is due next week (October 28th)
My U.C benefit is currently under a “capped- sanction” and the £185 that I am due to receive will go towards paying off my utilities and other bills, leaving me with nothing to help pay my rent or get groceries and I know that I have asked this a lot these past few months and all the help I have previously received has literally helped me from spiralling into more debt and helped me to eat and stay warm and I absolutely hate to ask for more help but I have no one else to turn to.
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life and, sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody has to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling. Thank you for your help 💖

Most of you are aware now that Bird – also known as @thulimo – is having a major surgery on October 12th, to remove an 11 inch tumor and possibly an entire hysterectomy. It’s scary, mostly because we don’t know yet if it’s cancerous or not, and the oncologist is gong to have to take the tumor to pathology during the surgery to find out.
Because of the ongoing uphill battle with our insurance, the only place that would accept our plan was in a different city, so the medical bills and expenses are piling up fast.
This is to help with the expenses and bills from the surgery as well as knock out some of the older bills that are still hanging over our heads. Every time I think we have it paid down, a new bill arrives for bloodwork or tests or another appointment copay. The GoFundMe will probably not cover the cost of the surgery, with our deductible, but it is a start.
Bird deserves a chance to get better without having to live in a constant and perpetual state of stress because of money. She’s going to be out of work for a week before surgery and six weeks after. I’m going to be taking off a few days to be there for her surgery, and for a few days after to make sure she’s got everything she needs to recover. An 11 inch tumor is nothing to sneeze at; it’s attached itself to her uterus and her bowel. This is a major surgery, and the recovery process is going to be rough. There is also waiting to hear if it’s cancerous or not, and dealing with that answer when it comes.
So yes, I am asking for help. I don’t like asking for help. I know we all need help in one way or another, and like Bird, I prefer to be the one helping. But here I am, begging you to help me take care of my wife. She deserves a chance to get better, to feel better, to recover from this and go back to being the beautiful, bouncy, lively Bird we all know and love. This entire ordeal is taking a serious toll on her. She’s going to need 24 hour constant care during the weeks after her surgery, and every single cent helps me to provide that care for her.
