I see that I’m not the only one who thinks Eight and Thirteen have some similarities, especially their relentlessly cheery attitudes. I get the feeling that if they met they would get on really well, maybe even better than any other pairing of Doctors.
Maybe it’s something to do with them both shaping their personalities with optimism in mind; Eight as a response to the depressing burden of being Seven and Time’s Champion for ages, and Thirteen because she’s finally recovering properly from the trauma of the Time War and other tragedies she suffered as Twelve.
I get the feeling Thirteen would finally have enough self love that she could look back at her past self (especially a self that tried as hard as Eight to be good) with forgiveness, and Eight would look forward with enough hope that Thirteen would be a comfort to him, that everything will turn out all right.
Okay I’m going to stand up and be the first American Whovian to say it because we’re all thinking it: the way everyone says the name “Graham” in the show is hilarious
